A number of timely and highly informative conferences, industry networking and learning opportunities will be staged in conjunction with PACIFIC 2017.

Each boasts an impressive array of eminent naval and maritime industry speakers and presenters and will attract delegates from throughout Australia and around the world.

These conferences and symposia will be held within the new ICC Sydney on Darling Harbour. Conference programs are scheduled to include opportunities for delegates to visit the exhibition areas and thus appreciate every aspect of the vast industrial and technological expertise on show.

Other business, technology and operationally focused seminars, conferences and workshops will be held at various times throughout PACIFIC 2017. A complete program can be found here.

Conferences include:

  • Royal Australian Navy Sea Power Conference 2017
    Hosted by the Chief of Navy, the tenth biennial RAN Sea Power Conference will be held at ICC Sydney during the PACIFIC 2017 International Maritime Exposition, Tuesday 3 to Thursday 5 October.
  • PACIFIC 2017 International Maritime Conference
    This highly respected engineering-focused conference is organised by The Royal Institution of Naval Architects, Engineers Australia and The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology. The conference will run for three days from Tuesday 3 to Thursday 5 October.


PACIFIC 2017 will also host a range of smaller, specialist business and technical conferences, seminars and workshops addressing topics impacting on the region’s maritime industry, and on regional maritime security, including:

  • IndPac17 – National Security and Strategy Seminar
  • Defence and Industry Innovation, including the Innovation Pitchfest
  • Unmanned Systems
  • Naval Aviation.


There will also be a number of specialist events targeted on the needs of Australia’s naval industry, and especially its agile, creative population of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME).
